Ruth Emma Newton, age 85, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Berkeley Springs Center in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
Born April 7, 1930 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Katherine Parrish. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Robert Edward Newton.
She attended public schools in Baltimore and worked for Sinai Hospital as a medical records clerk. She was a homemaker in recent years who enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and taking car rides.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased in death by her two sons, Anthony and Barry Philips, one sister and one brother, Carroll Parrish.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 19th from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where services will begin at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
