Ruth Lavern Shoemaker, 94, of Owings Mills died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Keswick Multi Center in Baltimore.
Born in Baltimore on May 5, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Harper and Iola Schaffer Harper. She was the wife of the late Frank Shoemaker.
Mrs. Shoemaker was retired from Monumental Printing where she was the office manager.
Surviving is a son Wayne M. Shoemaker and his wife Diane of Owings Mills, her grandchildren Jeffrey Shoemaker, Carrie Sandoval, and Katie Shoemaker; her great grandchildren Sarah Shoemaker and Ethan Sandoval; her brothers Bill Harper of Myrtle Beach, SC and Ronald Harper of Baltimore.
She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Leonard, her sisters Thelma Schultz and Irma LaVole.
The family will receive friends Monday from 3-5 and 7:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00p.m. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with the Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
Interment will be private.
