Ruthann Pfanneschlag (nee King) passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024 at the age of 87. Born on November 9,1936 in Chester, Pennsylvania, Ruthann was the youngest of five children of Thomas and Ruth (nee Cummings) King.

She married the love of her life, Al Pfanneschlag, on May 14, 1955. Together, they raised four children in their Reisterstown home, where Ruthann lived for 63 years. Hosting family holidays, especially Christmas, were a cherished tradition.

Ruthann's passions included reading, television watching, traveling, Bingo, playing the penny slots, attending BSO Pop concerts and enjoying lunch with her friends.

Glyndon held a special place in Ruthann's heart. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish where she was a member of the school's Mom's Group, Sodality and more recently, a volunteer for the church's Our Daily Bread team.

Most of Ruthann's career you could find her behind the window of the Glyndon Post Office. Her official title was Postal Clerk, but as everyone knew, Ruthann took time to talk with everyone who walked through the doors of the historic post office, and became a part of their community.

Ruthann will be most remembered for her love of life, her quick wit and her proud Irish spirit.

Ruthann is survived by her daughter, Teri and husband Bob, her son, Chuck, her daughter, Lisa, her grandchildren, Michael J and his wife Rebekah, Patrick and Kimberly and her husband Kevin, her great- grandchildren, Michael B and Nate, five dear nieces, and one devoted nephew, and lifelong family friend, Ed Prus.

Ruthann was predeceased in death by her parents, her four siblings (William, Tom, Doris and Bernice), her beloved husband, Al, her dear son, Alfred, Jr, her loving son in law, Michael, four nephews and lifelong friends Arlene and Theresa.
