Samuel P. Cardiel, III, 60, of Reisterstown, MD, formerly of California, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Patapsco Health and Rehab in Randallstown, MD. Born on December 13, 1961, in Lynwood, CA, he was the son of Samuel P. Cardiel, Jr., and the late Delphina Martinez.
Samuel worked as a security guard, and you could see a transformation in him once he put on his uniform. Since the time he was able to walk, he enjoyed playing sports. He lettered in football and in baseball. Samuel was an avid sports fan. He was a devoted Los Angeles fan for the Raiders, Dodgers, and Lakers, and followed his beloved Raiders to Oakland, where he resided. Samuel enjoyed traveling, and he previously lived in Los Angeles, Oakland, Las Vegas, Texas, and California, which is where he grew up.
Surviving him in addition to his father are siblings: Sancie Ringrose and Vincent Cardiel, siblings by love: Mike Guerra, Ralph Guerra, Gina Guerra-Seaquist, and Greg Guerra, and grandmother: Dolores Oliva. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends from childhood.
In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his aunts: Mary Cardiel and Eva Alvillar, and uncles: Marcos Martinez and Frank Martinez.
Samuel requested to have his ashes be dispersed in the Pacific Ocean, date and time to be determined.
