Samuel Gene King, 73, of Hanover, PA died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Born May 11, 1940 in Rural Retreat, VA, he was the son of the late Henry Howard King and Lora Leona Parks King Bizich. He was the husband of Mary Jacquelyn Snyder Clifton King, his wife of 20 years, who died in 2001.

He was a retired forklift and transporter for General Motors and a groundskeeper at Milldale Jewish Camp for the past 15 years.

Surviving are his children Timothy King and wife Debra, Tammy Forbes and husband Fred, Michael King and companion Karen Ferguson, and Michelle King; step daughters Mary Belinda Gamache and Colleen Staley and husband Richard; his sisters Doris Johnson and husband Carl and Joyce Lamie and husband Wayne; his 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister Priscilla Bizich.

The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.

In Rural Retreat, VA the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service, 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kimberlin Christian Union Church, 682 Kimberlin Road; Rural Retreat, VA 24368.

Interment will follow in Kimberlin Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rural Retreat, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association, NRA processing Center, P.O. Box 420648, Palm Coast, FL 32142-0648.
