Sarah Alice (Loughry) Mott

Sarah Alice (Loughry) Mott passed away on February 2, 2022.  Born in August of 1946 in Carroll County Maryland, she married the love of her life, Gerry Mott in 1964.  She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.  A faithful Christian, she volunteered teaching Sunday School for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, flowers, reading and scrap booking.  Her life was devoted to her family who will greatly miss her.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gerry Mott of Westminster, MD.  Her six children, Gerry (Dawn) Mott of Lewes, DE; Nick Mott of Hampstead, MD; Sherry (Mark) Heebner of York Springs, PA; Melanie Mott of Westminster, MD;  Sarah (Mark) Voiles of Morgantown, IN; and Doug (Jeanne) Mott of Manchester, MD;  27 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 7 siblings.

In addition to her parents, Toy and Otis Loughry, brothers Louis, Harry and Jimmy Loughry, she is preceded in death by grandson, Caleb Lee Mott.

The family will receive visitors Saturday, February 5, from 11-1 pm at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.  Funeral immediately following at 1 pm. Interment will be at Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery.
