Scot Elliot Orms, 68, of Timonium, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Born December 10, 1957 and a lifelong Baltimore resident, he was the son of the late Louie Eugene Orms and Wanda Christine (Pognoski) Orms.
Originally a member of Gallagher’s Day Program starting in 2007, he moved into their residential program following the passing of his mother in 2008. Throughout the years, Scot became a cherished member of the Gallagher community. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, playful personality, and giving amazing hugs. He formed special bonds with his housemates and staff, who loved him dearly.
Scot took great pride in his appearance and had a style all his own. He loved being around people and enjoyed outings to local coffee shops and donut shops. A good steak or pizza with a soda on the side was always a favorite. He especially enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, visiting amusement parks, and attending festivals. Scot also enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics, where he proudly earned several medals over the years. In 2024, Scot became an active member of Boy Scout Troop 730 and proudly achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2025. More importantly, as a devoted Catholic, his faith provided a meaningful source of comfort and guidance throughout his life.
Scot will always be loved and remembered for his humor, his affection for others, his independent spirit, and the many smiles he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his nephew Kenneth M. Nusz (Laura) and great niece Lillian Ruth. In addition to his parents, Scot was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Duane Orms in 1995.
