Sebastian Joseph LaRossa, 98, of Reisterstown died Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Future Care Cherrywood Nursing Home in Reisterstown.
Born October 13, 1911 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Vito William LaRossa and Frances Maria Carnella. He was the husband of the late Virginia Loretta Castellano LaRossa, who died in 2009.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree. He worked as a foreman for Prudential Insurance Company for 33 years before his retirement.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Reisterstown American Legion, Post 116 and the Reisterstown Moose.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Frances LaRossa and Donald Canham of Baltimore; his sister Olive Miller of New Jersey; his 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives.
He was predeceased by his son Vito William LaRossa, his brother Michael LaRossa, 2 grandchildren, and many other relatives.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.
Interment will be in Parkwood Cemetery.
