Sharon Lee D'Ambrogi

Sharon Lee D'Ambrogi, 72, of Owings Mills, MD passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. Born on July 24, 1950, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Spurgeon H. Black and Charlotte Mae Gerwig Black. Sharon was the beloved wife of Michael D'Ambrogi, whom she met in 1991 and married in 1995.

In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her brother Mike Black and his wife Darlene, nephews Keith and Shaun Black, sister Donna Lake, niece Lauren Crooke and nephew Justin Lake. She is also survived as great aunt to several great nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1968. She started working part time at the age of 16 and after graduation, continued her working career with various insurance agencies, 20+ years as Assistant to the CEO of KAWG&F Accounting Firm and later as Assistant to a Senior Producer for ISG Co. She retired in 2017.

She was a diligent supporter of various animal rescue organizations, such as Defenders of Animal Rights. Her primary interest was to rescue stray cats, keeping and raising a few for herself.

Services will be private.
