Sharon Elaine Miller, age 71, of Manchester passed away peacefully, Sunday, November 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by family.
Born July 25, 1943 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Bernard Witter and Mary Edna Danner Witter. She was the wife the of Howard Leroy "Babe" Miller, her husband of 52 years.
She was a life member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Thursday evening prayer group. She worked for the Carroll County Public Schools as a teacher's assistant. In her spare time, she was an avid walker, enjoyed riding her bike, and traveling to the beach. She was known far and wide for telling Angel stories and had a true love and passion for all children. She loved family gatherings.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her son Chris Miller and wife Debbie; her grandchildren Nikki Campbell and husband Lukas, and Heather Aziz and husband AJ; her great-grandchildren Raygan, Chase, Layla, and Blake Campbell; her sister Lynn Witter; and her brother-in-law Robert Miller; her sister-in-law Jean Moritz and husband Ed; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Darren Miller.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester and 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church until of funeral service at 11 a.m. with the pastors the Revs. Chris Litton, Matthew Schenning, Norma Schenning, and Jayne Howard.
Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.
