Sharon Larue Osborn

Sharon LaRue Osborn, 74, of Upperco, MD, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Gilchrist Hospice Care in Towson, MD. Born on March 27, 1948, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George D. and Dorothy LaRue Jackson Osborn.

Sharon was a graduate of Franklin Senior High School, and worked for Maryland Emergency Management Agency, as a Computer Specialist. She also worked every year at the Maryland State Fair in the Home Arts Building, and during elections worked as a Baltimore County Election Judge.

Sharon was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  She was involved in all aspects of the church to include Treasurer of the United Methodist Women, Secretary/Treasurer of the Trustees and the PGUMC Cemetery, Secretary of the Church Council, Chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Choir.  The annual PGUMC Christmas Bazaar found Sharon working tirelessly to make each one a success.  Sharon volunteered with Rebuilding Together Baltimore; North East Social Action Program, making desks during Covid to aid children who had to be homeschooled.  She volunteered with Hands Helping Neighbors.

Sharon assisted her stepmother in organizing various bus trips to many states and Canada through the years.

Sharon loved to read, work crosswords and Sudoku puzzles.

Surviving her is her stepmother: Vola Harvey Osborn, cousin: Margarete Arnold, niece: Tammy Tricario, nephew: Wayne Talbott, Jr., and wife Sonia, and brother-in-law: Wayne Talbott, Sr. She is also survived by grandnieces and a grandnephew.

She was predeceased by a sister: Shirley M. Talbott.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, at 1 pm, with Rev. Dick Harden officiating.

Interment to follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Reisterstown, MD.
