Shirley Roberta Woodward

Shirley Roberta Woodward, 87, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on February 14, 2018. Shirley was born on January 12, 1931 in Baltimore City, Maryland. Shirley was an avid bingo player back in the day. As Shirley aged she thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles and having the grandkids over for games. She also enjoyed watching TV Land Network with her daughter, Sandy. Shirley worked as a teller in a bank and also ran her cleaning company while raising 4 children. She was a hardworking dedicated mother.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Herbert Owen Dilworth and Clara Wilson Dilworth, late husband, Clarence Irvin Woodward Jr., her daughter, Shirley Roberta Walters Wardell, grandson, John Cavey Jr., and her seven brothers and sisters.

Shirley is survived by her son, William Irvin Woodward of Hampstead, Maryland, her daughter, Sandra Walters of Westminster, Maryland, and her daughter Sharon Magruder and husband Arron Magruder of Hampstead, Maryland. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Michelle Cavey of Towson, Maryland, Sherry Morrison and husband James Morrison of Dundalk, Maryland, Lindsey Goodspeed and husband Brandon Goodspeed of Hanover, Pennsylvania, and Brittany and Melissa Woodward of Hampstead, Maryland.

In addition she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Vincent, Heather, and Emma Morrison of Dundalk, Maryland, and Wesson and Payson Goodspeed of Hanover, Pennsylvania.

A viewing will be held at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. A funeral service will be held at North Carroll Assembly of God, 2695 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074 on Tuesday, February 20 at 11 A.M. Interment to follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 East Padonia Rd. Timonium, MD.  After the burial, a reception will be held back at the church, North Carroll Assembly of God, Hampstead, Maryland.
