Spencer Pierce Bauerlien age 86 of Hampstead, MD. died Saturday Sept. 17, 2011 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Born August 12, 1925 in Baltimore County, MD he was the son of the late Charles Edward Henry and Florence Elizabeth Spencer Bauerlien. He was the husband of the late Laura Alberta Cole Bauerlien who died Jan. 16, 2007.
He was a retired Cabinet Maker for Reisterstown Lumber Co. where he worked for over 30 years. He was a member of the Westminster Moose and the North Carroll Senior Center. He attended Christ Lutheran Church in Trenton, MD. and was a veteran of the United States Marines.
He is survived by his children: Nina Brafford and husband Richard of Manchester, MD., Andrew Bauerlien and partner Kenneth Kocher of Westminster, MD. and Susan Delaney and husband Bruce of Hanover, PA. granddaughters: Deborah Gray, Julie Brafford, Jennifer Hann and Kristen Learn. Sister: Nellie Surratt of Stewartstown, PA. Brother: Robert Bauerlein. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and special friend: Roe Talbert of Hampstead, MD.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Tuesday at 12:00 noon with the Rev. Michael Adams officiating.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave. Westminster, MD. 21157.
