Stafford G. Taylor, Jr. 81 years old of Owings Mills, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at the Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born November 11, 1930 in New York City, he was the Son of the late Stafford G. Sr. and Gwendolyn Thomas Taylor.
He was predeceased by two wives, Dolores Brown Taylor in 1982 and Catherine Stones Taylor in 2005.
He moved to Baltimore in 1937. He attended Baltimore City Schools and graduated from Douglass High School in 1948. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1949 and served aboard the USS Leyte CV32 and the USS Waldron DD699 until his discharge in 1952. He then worked as a street car operator with the Baltimore Transit Company and later as an operator with the Baltimore Metro where he retired in 1992.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Darrell and Angela Taylor of Westminster as well as many other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday from 3 – 6 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills where services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM.
Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
