Stanley Eugene Seufert, Sr., 81, of Manchester formerly of Lanham died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his daughter's home.
Born December 4, 1931 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Anthony Seufert, Jr. and Glada Walters Seufert. He was the husband of Ellen Mayhew Seufert, his wife of 57 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War aboard an aircraft carrier. He worked as an electrical technician for the Department of the Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Stanley Seufert, Jr. of Sunderland, Stephen Seufert of Easton, and Sherri Seufert-Colao of Manchester; grandfather of 7; great grandfather of 2.
He was predeceased by his son Scott Seufert and his sister Toni O'Kane.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with the Rev. David Bare officiating.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157 or Alzheimer's Associations, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
