Steven Glen Knatz, 53, of Hanover, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born Aug. 12, 1954, in Baltimore, he was the son of Ruth Rote Knatz of Hampstead and the late Philip Knatz Jr. He was the fiancé of Laurie Miller of Hanover.
He was a sawyer for Shelter Systems in Westminster. He was a member of the Hanover Moose Lodge and the Hanover Fraternal Order of the Eagle. He enjoyed riding his Harley and NASCAR racing.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and fiancée, are a son, Kurt Michael Knatz; his fiancée's children Sarah E., Christopher M. and Daniel D. Miller, all of Hanover; brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Sharon Knatz, Craig and Betty Knatz and Brian and Kathy Knatz, all of Hampstead; nieces Angela and Taylor Knatz, both of Hampstead; nephews Scott and Brady Knatz, both of Hampstead, and Bryan Knatz of Whitehall; and a great-nephew, Andrew Knatz of Hampstead.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with Jarrett Wicklein, PhD. officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Greenmount.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
