Susan Janet Howard

Susan Janet Vance Howard, 73 of Taneytown, MD passed peacefully Monday Dec. 5, 2016 at the York Hospital in York, PA. Born Nov. 4, 1943 in Bethesda, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henry Schuster Vance and Esther Hoyt Hall Vance. She was the wife of 53 years to Earl Benjamin Howard.
Susan was a registered nurse and had been vice president at Sinai Hospital. She loved being with her grandson and her dog Casey. She also enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children; Nancy Howard Weller and husband Daniel of Taneytown and Natalie Frances Howard and significant other Tom Albright of Rosedale, step daughter; Amy Wymkoop of Florida and grandson; Vance Lee Weller. She is also survived by brothers; Henry Schuster Vance, Jr. of La Plata, MD, and Charles Nelson Vance of Florida.
Funeral service and interment will be private.
