Sylvia Mae McGhee, 86, of Manchester died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at her home.
Born August 11, 1925 in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. Whalen and Susie Marie Forsythe Whalen. She was the wife of Isaac G. McGhee, her husband of 64 years, who died on April 13, 2005.
She was a homemaker and a member of Jefferson Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children James D., Stephen W., Martin L., Paul R., and Robert W. McGhee, Rebecca L. Hickman, Sarah J. Wagner, and Resa A. Granruth; her 17 grandchildren; her 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with a funeral service 2 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Freewill Baptist Church, Sportsman Club Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
