Raymond Theodore "Ted" Lawson, 84, of Hampstead died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Copper Ridge in Sykesville.
Born December 21, 1929 in Elk Mills, he was the son of the late Earl Lawson and Dorothy Murray Lawson. He was the husband of Joan Beverly Rinder Lawson, his wife of 57 years.
He was an active member of Manchester Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon. He was a retired letter carrier from the United States Postal Service. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Hampstead American Legion, Post 200.
Surviving are his children James Stocksdale and wife Marislene of FL, Beverly Edna Lawson of OH, and Franklin Theadore Lawson and wife Kelley of Hampstead; his grandchildren Kimberly Tremblay of FL, Kristina Tremblay of LA., Travis Miller of Manchester, Mayara Nunes, and Narianne Rodriguez, both of FL; and his step grandchildren Cody Wisnieski and Hanna Wisnieski.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Glen Rinder, Sr.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with his pastor the Rev. David Scafide officiating.
Interment will be in Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery, Manchester.
