Teresa Joy Walsh, 81, of Manchester died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born June 11, 1932, she was daughter of the late Carlyle Olson and Mary Costello. She was the wife the late Edward V. Walsh.
Years ago, she had worked for the Social Security Administration and Catonsville Community College as a records clerk and also Walmart. She enjoyed music, puzzles, decorating her home, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children Lisa Ann Johnson and husband Michael of Manchester and Mary Walsh and partner Jonathan Crist of Portland, OR; her grandchildren Daniel and wife Sarah, Tyler and wife Kahlyn, and Jacob Johnson, great granddaughter Paisley Grace Johnson, siblings Joseph Olson and Patricia Jeffers both of Manchester and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 10 siblings.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Paul Wenzel officiating.
A private cremation will be held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel, Manchester and the interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kennedy Krieger Children's Institute, Rehabilitation Dept., 707 North Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21205 or to The Humane Society of Carroll County, C/O Nicky Ratliff, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD. 21158.
