We celebrate the life of our father, Theodore T. Vernon, whom was born on May 9, 1926 thru Nicholas and Helen Vernon in Chicago, ILL.
He was husband to Jeanette, father to Michael, Nicholas and Ellen. He was grandfather to Andrew, Laura, Bradley, Javed, and Basil. He was brother to Mylan, William and Helen(Cookie)
He served our country in the second world war and the Korean war. The Army recommended him for further military training in which he declined. He chose to pursue a degree in Engineering. He earned his Engineering degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. He worked as an engineer for more than 30 years at Westren Electric and retired in the late 80's from Lucent.
He was devoted to his family. He had a passion for golf, fishing and music. He enjoyed football. He was a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears. We are forever grateful to our father for his loyal devotion to our family.
On the evening of March 13, 2013 he took his final breath to join our Mother, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and many friends in everlasting life.
The celebration begins at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 6-8 PM.
The service is at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 515 Academy Ave, Owings Mills on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM.
The Burial immediately following at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
