Theresa Clara Cooper, 90, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on November 2, 2018, surrounded by her family. Born on July 3, 1928, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul P. Czawlytko and Josephine Jankowiak Czawlytko. She was the wife of 68 years to the late Arthur P. Cooper.
In years past, Theresa worked on the farm with her husband, and both worked at Black and Decker for years. The couple worked at Hampstead Cemetery for 35 years, digging many graves and maintaining the grounds.
Surviving her are children: Carol Anne Cooper Davis of Florida, and Robert Preston Cooper of Manchester MD, grandchildren: Robert Allen Cooper, Jennifer Werner, Laura Yarbrough, and Brian Davis, great-grandchildren: Jacob and Justin Werner, Rebecca Yarbrough Broussard, Erin Yarbrough, and Lily Yarbrough, and siblings: Rosalie Alban, Valentine Czawlytko, and Edward Czawlytko.
Theresa was predeceased by sisters: Helen Czawlytko, Rita Urbaniak, and Margaret Weiss, and a brother: Paul Czawlytko.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 4, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, November 5, at 10:30 am at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD 21102. Interment to follow in Hampstead Cemetery, Hampstead, MD.
