Thomas Bartholow

Thomas Alfred Bartholow, of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on January 20, 2019 at the age of 77 following an extended illness. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Ann Shelley. He was a loving brother to both his biological and foster siblings, some of whom have passed away.

Mr. Bartholow was born on December 29, 1941 in Baltimore County and raised by Laura May Ayler as member of her large foster family. A highly respected watch and clockmaker, Mr. Bartholow retired from Smyth Jewelers after more than thirty years of service and owned a successful business in the field. He was also a locksmith. His passions included grandfather clocks, traveling, music, dancing, and helping others.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 4-7 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, with a memorial service to begin at 7 pm.
