Thomas "Tom" E. Ryan, Sr.

Thomas "Tom" E. Ryan, Sr., 92, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Lorien Mays Chapel in Lutherville-Timonium, MD. Born on September 25, 1928, in Mt. Washington, MD, he was the son of the late Milton and Hilda Carrack Ryan. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Lorraine Ryan, who passed away in 2015.

Years ago, Tom worked as a construction inspector for Baltimore County. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Tom was a member of the VFW Post 521 in Owings Mills, MD, and he was a past State Commander of the VFW. He was a founding and lifetime member of the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, and was also a member of the National Honor Guard.

Surviving him are sons: Thomas "Ed" E. Ryan, Jr. of Owings Mills, MD, and Brian "Tim" T. Ryan of Reisterstown, MD, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 26, at 10 am.

Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date.
