Thomas Donald Harvey, 80, of Hanover, Pa., formerly of Upperco, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at Plum Health Care Center in Hanover.
Born May 21, 1927, he was the son of the late Charles Walter and Mary Margaret Schlereth Harvey. He was the husband of Georgianna Price Harvey, his wife of 57 years.
He was a 1945 graduate of Franklin High School. He was a mail carrier for the Upperco United States Post Office.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and was the treasurer of the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery for 37 years.
He enjoyed working on old cars, woodworking, refinishing furniture and farming.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, David Wayne Harvey of Reisterstown; a daughter, Debra Jean Eaves of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren J. Daniel Harvey of Cockeysville and Thomas N. Harvey of Reisterstown; and a sister, Norma Jean Carver of Westminster.
He was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Harvey; and sisters Virginia Miller and Janet Harvey.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 15300 Dover Road, Reisterstown, with the Rev. Mary K. Kanahan officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Reisters-town.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church.
