Thomas Lewis Spurrier, 89, of Parkville, MD, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Oak Crest Senior Living Community in Parkville, MD. Born on August 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Oliver W. and Hilda Thomas Spurrier. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Patricia Ann Bailey Spurrier.
Years ago, Thomas worked for Sisters of Bon Secours as a maintenance manager. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and he served in the Korean War. Thomas was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He loved spending time at the beach with his family.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Thomas L. Spurrier, Jr. and wife Valerie of Taneytown, MD, John F. Spurrier and wife Robin of Fort Myers, FL, James E. Spurrier and wife Claudia of Fort Myers, FL, Mary Jane LePard and husband David of Cockeysville, MD, and Barbara A. Krepps and husband Steve of Reisterstown, MD, daughter-in-law: Dorothy Owens and husband Wayne of Manchester, MD, 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Thomas was predeceased by his sons: David W. Spurrier and Michael J. Spurrier, and a granddaughter: Kristin Marie Spurrier.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 24, from 10-11 am at Oak Crest, 8800 Walther Blvd, Parkville, MD 21234, where a Funeral Mass will begin at 11 am.
Interment is private.
Arrangements are by the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., Owings Mills, MD.
