Thomas David Whippo, 56, of Reisterstown died Friday, Dec. 07, 2007, at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown.
Born May 23, 1951, in Owings Mills, he was the son of Dorothy Klug Whippo and the late Robert B. Whippo Sr.
He was a veteran of the Navy and worked as a professional truck driver for 14 years for Reisterstown Lumber Co.
He was a pilot and worked with the Civil Air Patrol. He was an old car enthusiast and was restoring an antique Austin Healey. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Robert B. Whippo Jr. of Owing Mills; a sister, Cheryl Ann Dodd of Towson; and nephews Matthew Dodd of Towson and Brian Whippo of Owings Mills.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Timothy Feaser officiating.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 117 Main St., Reisterstown, MD 21136.
