Timmie Lee Schaeffer

Timmie Lee Schaeffer, 75, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on November 21, 1950, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edgar and Evelyn (Dell) Schaeffer. He was the beloved husband of Kathy (Frock) Schaeffer.

Timmie was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. After working as a deputy for many years with the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, he climbed ranks and retired as a Sergeant. He enjoyed spending time outside, especially if it involved hunting, golfing, playing softball, or riding his motorcycle. He also loved to go camping with family and friends in their RV, and has fond memories of coaching his children in sports, and watching his grandchildren in their sporting events. He was a long-time member of the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department and was also a member of the Masons at Lebanon Lodge #175, holding one of the top ranks. Timmie was proud of his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Kari Langford and husband Dan, Travis Schaeffer, grandchildren: Tyler and Taylor Langford, Elijah Miller, and sister: Kathy Rhodes and husband Jimmy.

Timmie was predeceased by his siblings: Helena Myers and Edgar Schaeffer.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, April 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.

The family invites friends to meet on Tuesday, April 21, at 10 am, the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, to prepare for procession to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Uniontown, MD, for a Graveside Service and Inurnment at 11 am.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, please check back for details.
