Listen to Obituary

Timothy Calvin Earp, 57, of Olney, MD, was called home, and peacefully passed away on Jan 13, 2023, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. Born on April 4, 1965, in Bethesda, MD, he is preceded by his parents Emmert Calvin Earp, Jr. and Pauline Holt Randall.

Tim was Larger than life. He lit up any room with his abundant jokes, humor and laughter. He gave the greatest bear hugs! Always there if you needed advice and gave love abundantly. Tim was an extremely hard working man. He worked at many different places including: Harmony Hut, Peaches Records & Tapes, Jacobs Gardner Office Supplies, and Wilcox n' Construction before transitioning to Watercrafters Inc. in 1991, where he was Pool Guy Tim for 27 years. He loved fishing, football, hunting, hockey, guns, games, movies, and was absolutely crazy about music. He played guitar for 46 years and had extraordinary talent. Listening to him brought joy to everyone around. He would always say, "if it's too loud, you're too old." And " Mine goes to 111!"

Tim Earp was a great son, a wonderful nephew, a good brother, a fantastic friend  and he was an incredible, devoted father. Above all he loved the role of dad more than anything and he enjoyed every minute of being a "Pappap." Family and friends meant so much to him, as he did to them. He will sincerely be missed by many.

Surviving him are children: James Patrick Earp and fiancé Bradley Goad of  Florida, Shelby Faith Collins and husband Mike of Manchester, Alena Jean Earp and boyfriend David Pickett of Hampstead, Matthew Gilmore Earp of Frederick, grandchildren: Wyatt Collins, Lilly Collins, and future granddaughter: Harper Collins. He is also survived by half-sister: Lorie Smith and husband John of Hagerstown, stepbrother: Jimmy "Jimbo" Shepard and wife Cathy of Damascus, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on March 5, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Hope Chapel Church, 75 Lamb Drive, Westminster MD 21158.
