Virginia "Ginny" Ellen Barron

Virginia "Ginny" Ellen Barron, 87, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD. Born on June 12, 1934, in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Lippy and Frances Black Lippy. She was the beloved wife of John McKee Barron, who passed away in 2013.

Ginny worked for Black and Decker for 35 years. She took pride in taking care of the sick and she would make blankets for Project Linus for 20 years. She was a member of the Hanover Ladies Moose and Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing in Ocean City.

Surviving her is siblings: Richard N. Lippy of Westminster, MD and Pearl Jean Ober of Chestnut Ridge, MD. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 18, from 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 19, at 10 am.

Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
