Virginia Mae Reitz, age 86 of Manchester, MD died Saturday Oct. 17, 2015 at the Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, MD.
Born May 1, 1929 in Snydersburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph William and Sarah Emma Krebs Rill. She was the wife of the late Joseph Bernard Reitz, Jr. who died in 2004.
Years ago, she was a meat wrapper for Hahn's of Westminster and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Snydersburg, MD. She also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her sons and daughter in laws, Douglas W. and Wendy Reitz of Manchester, MD and Joseph B. and Brenda Reitz, III of Hampstead, MD, siblings, W. Francis Rill of Manchester, MD and Gladys Rhoten of Westminster, MD, grandchildren, Kyle, Parker, Camron, Kendall, Jaykob, David, Krystina, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Stephanie and Kathy. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Grimaldi.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 from 6-8pm and on Thursday from 9-11am at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD with funeral services beginning at 11:00am. with Rev. Michael Adams officiating.
Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
