Virginia S. Ritchie

Virginia S. Ritchie, 90, passed peacefully on November 30th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 27th, 1926 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret Wright Sheppard. She was the wife of the late William Ritchie; devoted mother to Ronald Ritchie (Elizabeth) and Jo Ann McGinnis; beloved grandmother of Erica Redmond (Arthur), Dwane McGinnis, Jr., Kendall McGinnis, and Angela McGinnis; great-grandmother to Lorelei Redmond; cherished sister of Howard Sheppard (Shirley) and Jane Bradfield; and survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by son-in-law Dwane McGinnis, Sr. and brother-in-law Norman Bradfield.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5th, from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 6th, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Owings Mills, MD. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
