W. James "Tex" Gunter, 81 years old of Owings Mills, died on January 11, 2011 at the Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown.
Born October 7, 1929 in Wayne, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Elmer M. and Laura Belle Gunter.
He was the husband for 61 years of the late Hilda Leona Gunter, who passed away December 21, 2010.
Surviving are his children and their spouses: Patricia and Buddy Caton of North Carolina, Andrew Gunter, Pamela Riley both of Owings Mills, Penny and Mike Zagami of Frederick, William and Peggy Gunter of York, PA., daughter-in-law Debra Gunter, brother of Juanita Smith and Jean Harner. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Christopher D. Gunter.
Friends may call on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Rev. Shirley Barley officiating.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
