Walter William Connolly, 86 years old of Reisterstown, died Monday, June 17, 2013 in Timonium.
Born January 13, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter W. Connolly and Agnes Marie Connolly (nee McClean)
He was the husband of the late Kathleen Ann Connolly (nee Carney) who died in 1996.
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1945 in Toledo. He was an Industrial Salesman for Bearings Inc. He was a life member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, active in church activities, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Reisterstown Recreation Council and the Rec. Council Christmas Tree Sales, Manager and Commissioner of the Rec. Council Little League. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus Golf League and Local Thursday Golf "Putts & Such."
He is survived by his 5 children and their spouses: Mark and Debora Connolly, Diane and Christopher Martindale, Maureen Connolly Melvin and Rick Melvin, Kathleen Connolly, Kevin and Robin Connolly, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Marie Connolly and 2 sisters, Dorothy Connolly and Catherine Adams.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4-9PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 1:00PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Mr. Connolly's name to: Sacred Heart School, P.O.Box 3672, Glyndon, MD 21071.
