Walter F. Leader, 89 years old of Owings Mills, died October 8, 2013 at his home.
Born October 25, 1923 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Orville and Minnie Wertz Leader.
He was the husband of the late Pearl Evelyn "Boots" Leader, his wife of 67 years who passed away in 2012.
He served honorably with the United States Marines in WWII, was a member of VFW Post 521 Owings Mills and retired as Vice President of Beverage Capital.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Dan Shipp, granddaughter and her husband Amy and Ashley Pollard, Angela Shipp, great grandchildren Ricky Calhoun, Jordon Cromer, Cody and Camdyn Pollard, sister-in-law Margaret Williams and brother-in-law Joe Bidinger.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Louis Piel officiating.
Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
