Walter Lawrence Newell, 68, of Ocean View, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home. Born on April 10, 1955, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Daniel Lee and Mary Clare Appel Newell.

Walter worked as a CPA for the State of Maryland.

Surviving him is a son: Walter N. Newell, stepchildren: John and James Mansfield and Beverly Kelly, former wife: Marjorie Louise Newell, siblings: Eva Newell, Daniel Newell, and Mary Carol Jeppi and husband John, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers: Christopher and Gregory Newell.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 12 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071.

Interment to follow in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, MD.
