William Walter Classing, Jr.

William Walter Classing, Jr., 74, of Hagerstown, MD, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Williamsport Retirement Village in Williamsport, MD. Born on August 9, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William W. Classing, Sr. and Theresa W. Bohlen Classing. Twice married he was the husband of the late Patricia Cramer Classing and the late Lois Classing.

William was a retired painter for Pride Painting. Years ago he worked at Black & Decker. William enjoyed painting, yard work and loved everything to do with Christmas.

He is survived by his son: W. Michael Classing of Littlestown, PA, and siblings: Valley W. Classing of Hampstead, MD., John H. Classing of Manchester, MD., Mary E. Nickoles of Millers, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by siblings: Mardell Peterson, James and Birdie Classing.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, on Monday June 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am with the Pastor Blake Smarr officiating. Interment to follow in Millers Church Cemetery, Millers, MD.
