William Douglas "Doug" Sullivan, 86 years old of Westminster, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Carroll Lutheran Village.

Born March 13, 1923 in Gwynnbrook, Baltimore County, he was the son of the late William Douglas Sullivan, Sr. and Mary L. Gardner Sullivan.

He was the husband of the late Ruth Irene Mummaugh Sullivan who died in 2004.

He was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1941. He served honorably with the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Sullivan worked for C&P Telephone Company for 40 years and 3 additional years after the company became AT&T. He had been an active member of Ames-Sudbrook United Methodist Church in Pikesville. He loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his children and their spouses, son Stephen and Sharon Sullivan of Westminster and Barbara Sullivan Jenkins and Larry Jenkins of Fairfax, VA. Grandfather of Dale Sullivan, his wife Jen, Kelly Sullivan and April Claggett and her husband Charlie Claggett, Jr. Great grandfather of Gina and Brooke Sullivan and Logan Claggett. Brother of Lloyd Sullivan of Catonsville and Betty Ensor of Owings Mills. Brother-in-law of Raymond Ensor.

Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A., Rt. 30 and Charmil Dr. in Manchester and at the Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster 21158 on Monday from 11:00am-12:00 Noon at which time services will be held. Rev. Carroll Brown officiating.

Interment in Druid Ridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to ARC of Carroll County, 180 Kriders Church Rd. Westminster, MD 21158.
