William Harry Gill age 79 of Manchester died Monday February 1, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
Born September 26, 1930 in Hazelton, PA, he was the son of the late Harry Gorrell and Katherine Henrietta Harlor Gill. Twice married he was the husband of Ida Mae Ecker Gill and the late Lois G. Keller Gill.
He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, the Westminster Elks, the V.F.W., the American Legion, the Moose, and a member of the Hanover Eagles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children and spouses Robert and Donna Gill of Hampstead, Edward and Lorraine Gill of Sykesville, and Ann Marie Tate and her significant other Dennis Post of Houston, Texas; his sister Dorothy Hixon of Jackson, Texas and is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by sisters Marge Shower and Barbara Yoh.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with a funeral service held 10:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev. LoisAnn Furgess-Oler officiating.
Interment will be in the Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery in Manchester.
