Vice President at Long & Foster
William H. Holman V, who was a vice president at Long & Foster in Hampstead and had earlier been the Personnel Director at the Social Security Administration, died of Heart Failure on Sunday, May 11th. The former Hampstead and Hanover resident was 66 years old.
Mr. Holman was born and raised in Randallstown. He was a 1959 graduate of Milford Mill High School and the University of Maryland in 1963.
He went to work for the Social Security Administration in 1964 and rose to the position of Personnel Director, specializing in labor disputes with Health Care Financing Administration.
Upon retiring in 1986, he went to work for Century 21 where he quickly became a member of the Carroll County Million Dollar Club. He then became the Office Manager at Long & Foster in Hampstead and later Vice President.
Mr. Holman was a member of the Board of Directors of the Carroll County Association of Realtors and was voted "Man of the Year" at last year's gala.
He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, and many social events that centered around his pool with his family and friends.
Bill had a marvelous sense of humor, which he kept even in his extended illness.
Mr. Holman was a member of Reisterstown Bible Church, 605 Westminster Pike, Reisterstown, where his services will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 1:00 p.m.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, the former Judith Jenkins; a brother, Pastor Don Holman of Reisterstown, and a sister, Gail Nunnally of Douglasville, GA; brothers in law, Donald Greenawalt of Monkton, William Jenkins of Phoenix, and Sonny Nunnally of Douglasville, GA; sisters in law, Leslie Holman of Reisterstown, Linda Greenawalt of Monkton, and Molly Jenkins of Phoenix, and many nieces and nephews.
