William Richard Hossler Sr., 63, of Westminster, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at home.
Born Nov. 13, 1944, in Westminster, he was the son of the late William E. and Mary Jane Wilhelm Hossler.
He was a graduate of North Carroll High School and served in the Maryland Army National Guard.
He was a farm machinery mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
Surviving are daughters Cheryl A. Gereny of Westminster and Trena Hossler of Hanover, Pa.; a grandson, Tyler William Gereny; brothers Ronald Lee Hossler of Manchester and Russell Hossler; and a sister, Betty Gorsuch.
He was predeceased by a son, William R. "Butch" Hossler Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with John C. Morrill officiating. Interment will be in St. John's (Leister's) Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Westminster.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral chapel.
