William Howard Jr., 96, of Eldersburg (formally of Reisterstown), MD, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on July 13, 1922, he was the son of the late Florence V. Moser Howard and William R. Howard, Sr. He was the loving husband of the late Thelma F. Howard.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in both World War II, and the Korean War. He was a member of the Glyndon United Methodist Church and also a member of the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company for over 77 years. He was a retired surveyor and road inspector for Baltimore County, MD.
Surviving are his children: Ann Kramb and her husband James of Eldersburg, MD, and Mark Howard of Cambridge, MD; granddaughter: Sarah Warnick nee Kramb and her husband Jon of College Park, MD, his sister: Jane Barnes nee Howard and her husband Douglas, Jr. of Reisterstown, MD, and nephew: Douglas Barnes and his wife Abbie of Westminster, MD.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 23, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117 where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
