William Clark Miller, 89, of Upperco, formerly of Manchester, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at home.
Born Aug. 23, 1918, in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late George Smithfield and Eleanor Scovel Kookagee Miller. He was the husband of Beatrice Waln Anderson Miller of Manchester.
He was an avid horseman and was a member of the Mount Carmel Hounds for many years. He enjoyed sail boating, swimming, horse riding and had participated in the sail boat competition in Margate, N.J., years ago. He had been a White Pine Cleaner salesman.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are friends Flora Abel of Manchester and Ellen Young of Baltimore; and numerous other friends.
Service and interment are private.
A gathering of friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
