William Russell "Ned" Brown, 92, of Cockeysville died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.
Born on Thursday, January 25, 1917 in Butler, he was the son of the late Thomas W. Brown and Nellie Missouri Naylor Brown. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Elliott Brown, his wife of 69 years.
Mr. Brown worked in road construction for 40 years with Harry T. Campbell Co and was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed feeding all animals that stopped at his home.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his brother Thomas "Tim" Brown of Reisterstown and also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter Brenda May Malone, his brother John T. Brown, and his sisters Dorothy Z. Tracey and Margie Blizzard.
The family will receive friends 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Black Rock Baptist Church, Butler and Falls Roads, Butler.
Interment will be in Black Rock Cemetery.
