William Andrew Rhoten age 78 of Westminster died Tuesday September 1, 2009 at his home.
Born Nov. 25, 1930 in Greenmount, he was the son of the late Wilbert Augustus Rhoten, Sr. and Alma Fourhman Rhoten. He was the husband of Nancy Ann Miller Rhoten his wife of 59 years.
He was a lead man in the plastics department for 21 years with Black & Decker. He had also worked for Modern Comfort. He enjoyed trips to Charlestown, enjoyed sitting on his swing underneath the maple tree and working outside.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Dianne Rhoten Black of Manchester and Dennis Eugene Rhoten and his fiancée Stephanie May of Finksburg; his brother Wilbert A. Rhoten, Jr. of Westminster; and his grandchildren Carrie Black, Katie Barron, Jennie Black and Troy Rhoten.
He was predeceased by his daughter Linda Lee Rhoten and his brother Carlin Rhoten.
The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Michael Adams officiating.
Interment will be in Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery, Glenrock, PA.
