William Glenn Scott, 83 years old of Westminster, formally of Reisterstown, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Carroll County Hospital Center.
Born August 24, 1925 in Pittsburg, PA. he was the son of the late William Arch Scott and Alice Estelle Rupp Scott.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy L. Englar Scott.
Mr. Scott served honorably during WWII and retired from the Air Force Reserve in 1961 with the rank of Captain. He was a tool and dye maker by trade, a machine shop foreman and instructor. He was a member of Ionic Lodge No. 145 AF & AM in Reisterstown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Barbara L. Scott of Laurel and a sister, Harriet Beaman of Reno, Nevada. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Scott. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Krug Chapel, Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating.
Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Carroll Lutheran Village, Resident Assistance Fund, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster 21158 or Northminster Presbyterian Church, 705 Main St. Reisterstown.
