William Melville Unkart, 72, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born on October 13, 1944 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Edward William and Marjorie Jane Gamber Unkart. He was the husband of Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Ford Unkart.
William worked for many years as a plumber/steamfitter. Among his favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and he enjoyed family gatherings.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his son: Will Unkart, step children: Kenneth Sheppard, and Jeanne Funk, many grandchildren, niece: Stacy Shock, great niece: Ashley Franklin, sister: Beverly Phipps and husband Ron, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 2-4 pm at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
