William Charles Voelker, Sr.

William "Bill" Charles Voelker, Sr., 88, of Freeland, MD, formerly of Carroll County for many years, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at his home. Born on April 29, 2022 in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Charles M. Voelker and Virginia Elizabeth May Voelker. He was the loving companion of Faye Therit for 25 years.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the Korean War and received a purple heart. He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed spending time with his longtime companion.

Surviving him in addition to his companion are children: William Voelker, Jr. of Florida, Diana Griffith of West Virginia, Annette Hughes of Pennsylvania, Steven Voelker of Florida, Ronald Voelker of Frederick, MD, Matthew Voelker, and sister: Virginia "Honey" Young of Hartford County, MD.

He was predeceased by his brothers: Glenn and Tom Voelker.

Funeral services and interment are private.
