Wilmer Joseph Freeland, Jr.

Wilmer "Bill" Joseph Freeland, Jr., 80, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Born on April 27, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Wilmer Joseph Sr. and Virginia Shotts Freeland. He was the husband of Jane Carol Freeland, his wife of 59 years.

Wilmer was a lifelong member of the Boring Volunteer Fire Department. He was ready to answer the call to his country and was a soldier in the United States Army National Guard. Playing golf was one of his loved pastimes.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: John Victor Freeland and wife Jacqueline of Hawaii, and Lisa Welk and husband Lawrence of Shrewsbury, PA, grandchildren: Ashley, Whitney, Lizz, and Jesse, 5 great grandchildren, and siblings: Paul Freeland and wife Marty of Manchester, MD, and Patricia Wertz and husband Denny of Pikesville, MD.

Services and interment are private.
