Zachary Hartman

Zachary Hartman, 37, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on January 29th.

Zachary was born on November 12, 1987, in Columbia, MD the beloved son of Edwin and Kimberly Hartman. He attended Cedar Lane school where he graduated.

He was a fighter who endured countless surgeries in his life and surprised everyone with his strength and courage. Zachary loved music — classic rock by default — and enjoyed attending the many basketball games and track meets of his siblings over the years. He also loved going for walks in the park with his parents and to the movies. Although he did not speak, Zachary taught those who knew and loved him many lessons in his life and will be profoundly missed.

Zachary was preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Ann Pratt, Edwin Hartman Sr and Juanita Hartman. He is survived by his father, Edwin, mother, Kimberly, brother, Jacob and wife Kira, sister, Madison and wife Victoria, nephew Dexter as well as many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Zachary's legacy of teaching others will live on through his brain donation to UMD - Brain Donor Bank. We hope their research can help others who might suffer from pediatric genetic brain disease.

His celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 23rd from 11 am – 1 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a prayer service will be held at 1 pm.
